Join the Lead Safe World Virtual Walk/Run!
As part of 2023 International Lead Poisoning Prevention Week of Action, we’ve created a Virtual Walk/Run.
👟 Date: October 1st – October 31st, 2023
🏃♀️ Distance: 5 kilometres (3.1 miles)
🌍 Location: Anywhere! You choose your own route.
About the Event
This event is all about taking steps for a lead-safe world and helping those in need, namely Indigenous Australian households where we aim to to help Close the Gap by providing free Lead Testing Kits.
- We’re aiming to raise $1500.
- Our Virtual Walk/Run is a fundraising and awareness-raising activity to help prevent lead poisoning.
- We wanted to make it accessible to everyone – you can complete 5 km over the whole month, as a run, walk, jog, cycle… outside, on a treadmill and even from bed!
How It Works
Register: Sign up for the virtual walk/run by making a tax-deductible donation. Your registration fee will directly support providing free lead testing kits to Indigenous Australian households.
Walk/Run: Complete your 5-kilometre walk or run at your own pace and in your chosen location. You can even do it on a treadmill at home.
Celebrate: After completing your walk/run, you’ll receive a digital certificate of completion as a token of your achievement.
Registration Fee: by donation
Every dollar you contribute will help make lead safety accessible to those who need it most.
